ANDREW’S STORY
Most lawyers tend to steer clear of legal trouble, with traffic violations being the most common misstep you’ll hear about from a reputable attorney. With the possible exception of DUI, most attorneys have never been accused of the type of crime they are tasked with defending their clients against. They’ve never been in your shoes. Most attorneys have never had the police knock on their door and take them away in handcuffs, spent the night in jail wondering if their life is ruined, or had to defend their own freedom the way they are expected to defend yours. But Andrew Brown isn’t most attorneys.
After graduating from law school, Andrew moved to Colorado to become an attorney for the cannabis industry and help run a family CBD company. When the CBD company started to struggle, it put a strain on his marriage, leading to a separation from his then-wife. What began as an amicable breakup turned into a fierce fight about money that didn’t actually exist. In an effort to extort money from Andrew, she filed a false police report claiming Andrew had sexually assaulted her and engaged in unwanted sexual contact. The allegations were completely false. Andrew was able to prove that he wasn’t even in the same city as his wife at the time she alleged these events happened, and he was found not guilty on all counts. However, the emotional and financial damage had been done.
TURNING PAIN INTO POWER
This experience, while among the worst things he has ever been through (and this is a man who has literally been burned alive), was also the catalyst for Andrew to transition from cannabis and contract law to criminal defense. His passion for uncovering the truth is fueled by his own personal experience and is only exceeded by his dedication to his clients and their freedom and peace of mind.
Andrew’s firsthand experience with false accusations makes him uniquely qualified to defend those who find themselves in similar situations. He understands the fear, uncertainty, and stigma associated with such allegations and brings a level of empathy and determination to his defense strategies that few can match. His personal journey equips him with a deep understanding of the justice system from both sides, making him the best option for anyone falsely accused of sexual assault.
At Pav Law, we are dedicated to providing our clients with the best possible defense. We understand that sexual assault allegations are incredibly sensitive and do not wish to “victim blame” in cases where the allegations are true. Our mission is to protect the innocent and secure justice for our clients, whether that means defending them against false accusations or reaching a fair and favorable outcome through plea negotiations.
We understand how stressful this situation must be for you and your loved ones, so we are committed to providing you the best client experience. If you would prefer an in-person consultation, please let us know in your message so we can set up a meeting.
