Welcome to our new firm! Andrew Brown Law is now Pav Law, a Colorado criminal defense firm. We specialize in criminal defense for charges of DUI/DWAI, sexual assault, drug offenses, domestic violence, and probation violations.
Pav Law was founded by Attorney, Andrew Brown, in Spring ’24, after leaving John Joyner Law. Andrew was grateful to his old firm for everything he learned and the experience he gained, but he knew he needed to break out on his own. So he did! Although, it wouldn’t be the first time…
Andrew’s first criminal defense law firm. He started Andrew Brown Law Firm in 2021, but decided to take a position with Gaddis Law in order to learn from other attorneys. He spent the next few years learning everything he could about laws, procedures, exceptions, and expectations of the different courts across Colorado. Fast forward 3 years, and Andrew has greatly expanded his knowledge and racked up ton of trial experience. It was time for our Legal Eagle to spread his wings and fly. Just like that, Pav Law, Colorado’s top criminal defense law firm, was born.
Why did you change your name from Andrew Brown Law to Pav Law?
So, you might be wondering, “Okay, he’s Andrew Brown, this is Pav Law… So who, or what, is Pav?” We’ve had some good guesses; ‘it’s an acronym for Something – Attorney – Something’, and ‘It’s a Better Call Saul situation and Pav is an alias for Brown’ are my personal favorites. The reason we chose to use Pav Law instead of Andrew Brown Law is two-fold. One, Andrew Brown is an incredibly common name. There are literally dozens of Andrew Browns who are attorney’s, even a couple others in Colorado, so we wanted to pick a name that was more unique.
So why Pav? Pav is a family name. It’s origins are Czech, and it translates to peacock. In fact, if you look closely at our logo, you’ll see the peacock feather in the shield. Andrew is a bit of a peacock himself, so it seemed fitting. Sometimes his confidence comes across as arrogance, especially when he’s dealing with prosecutors, but really, he is just determined to build the best criminal defense firm in Colorado. So that’s the story behind Pav Law.
